Launch draft privacy policy

Effective April 10, 2026. This draft explains the practical data flows the product currently uses and gives Daily 8 a minimum trust baseline before counsel review.

This is product draft content for founder review. It should not ship as final policy language without human legal review.

What Daily 8 collects

Daily 8 has no accounts and no player database. The games run in your browser, and the only data the site handles is the basic technical data any website receives to serve a page — plus anything you choose to send us in a support email.

Local storage stays on your device

Your progress, streaks, settings, and saved runs are written to your own browser's local storage. They are never uploaded, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.

No sign-in, no leaderboards, no social features

There is nothing to sign up for. Accounts, public leaderboards, public profiles, private challenges, and Tables are not part of the current product surface, so no email address, username, or score is collected or published.

Vendors and infrastructure

The site is hosted on Vercel, which handles hosting, deployment, and standard request logging. Final disclosures should be checked against the actual live stack before launch.

Retention and deletion

Because nothing is stored server-side about a player, there is no account or gameplay record to retain or delete. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer them.

Founder review note

This is a practical launch draft, not legal advice. Human legal review is still required for jurisdiction-specific privacy rights, consent requirements, children’s privacy, cookie disclosures, and user-request handling.

Privacy or support requests

Route privacy, support, and account questions to support@daily8.games or the support page.
